We are a movin’ here at the Nutt House! That’s right, we are moving but not how you
may think.
Kaden has started moving all over the place. Just a few short weeks ago he was rocking
back and forth on his little legs trying to figure out how to get from here to
there. Then on November 9th
he took one small inch forward followed by another and another and my little
man quickly became my little inch worm.
With this new found inching skill Kaden discovered there is
a whole new world out there to be explored.
The trickling sound of Pixie’s water dish caught his attention and
before her food did too the child hating gate separating inch worm and kitty
food & water was put back up. His
inching skills have allowed him to take his ever present fascination with Kara
and what she is doing to a whole new level and he has attempted to join in on
the fun and play with his sister.
Needless to say, this has not been well received and sharing lessons
will quickly be discussed repeatedly in upcoming FHE lessons and activities. The best news of all is that as of November
15th Kaden can now crawl! I
say best news because for him it is the best news, he can move to areas mom has
not placed him, he can see for himself what everything is, and most importantly
he can start getting into everything. As
the mom that isn’t ready for her baby boy to take this big step toward mobility
I find myself saddened in a selfish way as his little hands pounce down with
each unsteady crawl, knowing he’ll only get better, faster, and into more and
more of everything. Our first post crawl
discovery has been that Kaden LOVES electronics, I’m talking remotes, phones,
etc. If they are within reach he will
bypass any and all toys to reach whatever magic button filled electronic device
he can see.
Kara has been moving forward as well. Her little legs are finally long enough that
she can reach the pedals on her Big Wheel and if she can get a push or start at
the top of an incline, watch out! That
girl can go! She is so excited and we
now have daily trips where at the very least we go down the drive way and to
the edge of our property a few times.
Though these steps mean our little Nutts are growing up, we
are a proud and happy Nutt House and cannot wait to see what awaits us next!!
I think that's a boy thing. Dreygan is completely obsessed with electronics too.
