This past week the Nutt House celebrated the successes Kaden has had thus far potty training by enjoying an evening at Chuck E Cheese (Kaden's choice). It's been amazing how well he has taken to this whole potty thing now that we let him do it when he is ready and not when we are ready for him to do it. Oh, the lessons learned through this one! Anyway, we are so proud of our youngest Nutt and enjoyed an evening doing what he wanted to do to celebrate.

highlight of his night was high-fiving Chuck E. himself |
We were also fortunate enough to enjoy a family evening at the circus this week. What a difference it was from the last time we were there a couple years ago. The performance itself was much the same as what we had previously seen, however, the engagement and interactions of both Kara and Kaden were magnified so greatly that it was as if we hadn't been before. Kara says she enjoyed the dancers and tight rope walkers the best while Kaden enjoyed the elephant and tiger acts the most. For Brent and myself it was the cuddling with and watching of both little Nutt's that we found most enjoyable.

He enjoyed trying on the circus costumes available *errr.... the one that would fit him |

As our month is coming to an end we saw the last of swim lessons and Kaden's sports classes happen for the summer. Kara has improved so much at swimming, in fact, her teacher is already recommending her for the next class up. Great job to our little mermaid!
Kaden has flourished at his class, it has been one of the wisest and most enjoyed decisions we have made for Kaden.

He enjoys the "skill stations" where he gets to try out new things |

fun on the tire swing |

climb, climb, climb |
Most importantly this week, we've spent time as a family, just enjoying each other's company. The two little Nutts and myself are preparing for our month long exodus from Phoenix early next week and while we are looking forward to our trip - the time with family it offers, the different and new adventures that await we know that we are going to miss our big Nutt and look forward to the portions of our vacation that he will be able to join us for!

Piggy back rides are always a night-time favorite around here. |

Love playing games with this group of Nutts |
Now, after what is a strangely written update (as my mind is tired and elsewhere) it is back to the multiple "to do" and packing lists I have that need to be accomplished before we leave!
