Happy Halloween

Due to a wedding we attended on Halloween, this year, we celebrated Halloween a couple days earlier on Saturday, October 29th at a tri-ward Trunk or Treat.  Due to Kara's age, even if we didn't have the wedding, I think this would have been the primary way in which we celebrated the holiday.  The biggest plus to attending a wedding on Halloween in my eyes was the fact that there was so much Halloween candy waiting at home that needed to be eaten!!

Kara had received an ASU cheerleader costume around Easter, at the time it was too big for her so I made a mental note that it would be perfect if the outfit still fit around Halloween as it would be a perfect costume.  Somehow, in my crazy mind the thought remained and fortunately, the outfit still fit!  With Kara all dressed up as an ASU cheerleader the rest of the Nutt House and Kara’s Nutty grandparents dressed up as supporting ASU fans.

With the back of Grandpa Doc’s truck all decked out for tailgating we headed to the church for the trunk or treat.  Last year, Kara was too young to do much with Halloween, so I was particularly interested in what she would do this year.  With dad in tow Kara walked around to some of the other cars and trunk or treated for her very own Halloween candy.

It was reported back that Kara had a blast walking around, and from what I was able so observe she LOVED being around the other kids and people.  Once she was done with her trunk or treating Kara topped off her night with her very first sucker.

Boy oh boy!!!  She really enjoyed that sucker!

With the candy all passed out and the Nutt House all tuckered out, we were able to call Halloween 2011 a great success!!!
