Oh, the places we go...

What a fun week it has been for the Nutt House!  We’ve had adventure after adventure after adventure and enjoyed every minute of it.
Our week consisted of normal activities such as preschool, Kinder Prep classes, dance classes, a trip to the library, play date with friends, park play time, games and reading time.  In addition, this week Kara started swim lessons.  Just like last year she’s having a blast and once again turning into a little fish.  There’s a girl in her class that is more advanced than Kara, this is causing Kara’s natural competitive spirit to come out and push herself even more which is causing her own skill set to improve.

Perfect early Saturday morning activity - story time...
Just wish it wasn't so early when it happened!  *6:30 am

In addition to our more routine activities we engaged in one of our favorite activities and attended Disney on Ice as a family.  Always a hit with the Nutt House our little Nutts were literally on the edge of their seats for most of the show.  Kara particularly enjoyed Tinkerbell and her fairy friends while Kaden was enthralled with Lightening McQueen and the Cars entourage.
Pretty sure he didn't blink the entire time Cars was out

Tinkerbell brought cloud 9 for Kara who went as far as to blow

The next night the Nutt House discovered bowling and had a blast!  Kara and Kaden weren’t sure what to think at first but once their bowling shoes were on, bumpers were up, and the ball assist was in place they were ready to go.  With all of the strength that Kaden could muster he carried his bowling ball from the ball return to the ball assist by himself and let it go.  At a whopping average of 5 miles an hour the ball slowly would make its way down the lane all the while Kaden would patiently wait propped up against the ball assist until he could once again pick the ball up and repeat the process.  Kara quickly gained confidence wanting to push the ball assist aside and granny roll the ball all the way down the lane.  Sadly, the bigger Nutts didn’t get into the bowling groove until around frame 7 or 8 allowing the little Nutts to outscore us both.  Over all, we had a great time, are adding bowling to the list of activities we enjoy and cannot wait until we go back again!
*Excuse the blue pictures, the florescent lighting in the bowling alley didn’t help the pictures any*

After a fun filled morning at the park Friday Kara, Kaden and I explored a new to us museum – the Halle Heart Children’s Museum.  The museum has only been open a few months, was not that crowded, was smaller, educational, and a lot of fun!  The museum is centered on educating kids of all ages on the importance of heart health with displays on different hearts, activities you can do to stay heart healthy, a mini grocery store where the kids could grocery shop for healthy meal options, a 911 center, a little movie, crafts, and even mini-golf.  We enjoyed every activity and cannot wait to go exploring at this fun new museum again!  *That said, we discovered that mini golf is an activity we are going to be waiting a few years to really try with the kids.

If only he'd really eat as many veggies as he play bought!

All that fun was still not enough for the Nutt House, we divided up attending a baptism and an anniversary party Saturday evening and coming together to attend a baby blessing today.
After church poses

We had a fantastic week and cannot wait for the escapades this week has to offer!
