This past week has been spring break and what fun plans the
Nutt House had for the week! Alas, a
fever and persistent cough derailed our plans and we found our week a quiet,
secluded one while we observed the pictures of spring break fun being had by
others.
Fortunately, the sickness that has cursed Kara this week did
not hit her on Monday. This meant we
were able to discover the fun that is the Mesa Riverview Park for our Family
Home Evening. There was so much park we
didn’t get a chance to explore but some quality playground time accompanied by
grilled hot dogs made for a fun evening.
The Nutt House is happy to report we’ve found yet another park we look
forward to visiting again and again. (I’m
not sure there has been a park yet that we don’t want to keep going back to)

Such a beautiful park, we can't wait to come back and enjoy the splash pad |
Friday gave us hope that Kara’s plague was leaving and we
quickly took advantage of the time to run some overdue errands. One of which led us to the mall around lunch
time. As promises of food court lunch
were made to well behaved kiddos I was informed that I am the best mom
ever! The words instantly warmed my
heart while my head thought really, mall food court food gets me this? We are so eating here every.single.day.
Alas, lunch ended, commitments were made to return to the
mall for at minimum playtime and we ventured on home. Good thing we did too as Kara’s fever was
rearing it’s ugly hot head once again.
This has been one of those weeks when as a mom a clone would have come
in handy, or at least an extra lap and some additional arms. I won’t lie, I have enjoyed the extra
cuddling that has been requested as a result of sickness. Though, I don’t think I’ve slept through the
night since Wednesday so, I’m hoping to call it an early(earlier) night at the
Nutt House and hope for a illness free week this week. Sickness
really does put a dent in the Nutt House plans for fun.
