Both of my dear little Nutts have always enjoyed being and
playing outdoors. This is something I’ve
always loved and hope continues as they grow.
Kaden, who is 100% boy, is an adventurous little soul who embodies the
vintage poem describing little boys as being made of snips and snails and puppy
dog tails. I take pride that this is who
my little boy is.
That is, except for one day in March, it was a day that
started off like any other spring day, I was finishing house work while Kara
and Kaden played out back. I kept an eye
on the kids as I cleaned up the kitchen and made multiple trips outside to
sweep rocks out of Kaden’s mouth. On one
such trip he sat on the patio, looked up at me smiling as I once again swept
his mouth. Only this time, it was not a
rock that I swept out. As I initially
thought and later had confirmed I swept a baby scorpion out of MY baby’s
mouth. A scorpion, a blankity blank
scorpion was in the mouth of my son!!!!
UGH, UGH and double UGH!!! I was
in panic mode. Thankfully, he was not
hurt and the bug man was here as soon as possible to spray the house, the yard,
and the walls for bugs and scorpions. I
love living in Phoenix, but I do not love scorpions and more than that I
absolutely do not like them being in the mouth of my son. Thank heavens that was the first one I’ve seen
in over 5 months and I haven’t seen one since.
Oh, I cannot wait to
see what other fun adventures that little Nutt has in store for me over the
next several years!!!
| Not a picture at the time of the incident, I was not thinking of grabbing a camera at the time. Just a picture of my little Nutt |
